Title: General Labourer (Production/Processing Floor)

Positions Available: 4

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time, Overtime, Day

Salary: Starting at $15.00/hour, 40 hours/week, Other benefits, As per collective agreement, Medical benefits, Dental benefits, Disability benefits, Life insurance benefits, Group insurance benefits, RRSP benefits, Vision care benefits

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Chilliwack, British Columbia

Experience: None required, Trained in-house, Advancement to other fields available

Work Setting: Meat processing and packing plant, Refrigerated production area/hot processing floor

Type of Equipment: Stunning devices, Knives, Saws, Power cutting tools

Specific Skills: Process livestock and package products, an asset

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toe safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods, Bending, Crouching

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours, Hot, Cold

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
