BC Meats Phone App – Know Your Meats
The BC Meats app is designed for all Apple and Android devices. The BC Meats phone app is supported by the BC Government’s Buy Local Program; delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC with funding from the BC Ministry of Agriculture.
With the BC Meats Phone App, you’ll discover where your meat comes from and where you can find it in BC stores and restaurants. You’ll be able to connect to restaurants, grocers and farm stores that feature BC meats, and choose the type of meat you’re looking for: Certified BC Beef, pork, lamb, bison, duck, chicken or turkey. And you’ll be able to select restaurants, grocers or both, or search a restaurant or store by name. “People just want to know where their food comes from,” says Gillian Watt, Program Manager for BC Meats for BC Markets. “Our quality meats come directly from local BC meat producers who care deeply about what you’re feeding your families.”
The new BC Meats app connects consumers directly to you. By downloading the app, consumers can:
- Know where their meat comes from by connecting to restaurants, grocers and farm stores that feature local BC meats
- Choose the type of meat they’re looking for-Certified BC Beef, pork, lamb, bison, duck, chicken or turkey
- Choose restaurants, grocers or both, or search a restaurant or store by name
